Margex is launching Competitions — a new way for traders to test their market instincts against each other.
Competitions are available in both free and paid formats, with prize pools that scale dynamically based on the number of participants. Whether you’re a seasoned analyst or just want to test your gut feeling, Competitions give you a defined way to put your market view to the test — and get rewarded for being right.
The Competitions page has three main sections: All Competitions, My Competitions, and Hall of Fame. This article explains how competitions work, how to join, and how to check results on the global leaderboard.
How Competitions Work
Every competition follows similar steps:
Application Submission stage — The competition is open for entries. Choose a competition, review the asset and conditions, then join. Each competition has its own rules, including entry price, free or paid status, and whether you can edit your application.
Active stage — Submissions are locked. The competition is live, and the market determines the outcome. You cannot change your prediction.
When the competition ends, its status changes to Completed. Final results are calculated, and winners receive their rewards. Each competition may use different calculation criteria.

Types of Competitions
Regular Competitions
Five regular competitions launch automatically every Monday, each focused on a different cryptocurrency. Every regular competition runs for three weeks: one week for submissions, one week active, and one week for the next cycle. This means there’s always a competition you can join right now.
Standard Competitions
Standard competitions are created manually and can have custom durations, assets, entry fees, and prize structures. These may be one-off events or special promotions with unique conditions.
Private Competitions
Private competitions are exclusive events available only to invited participants. To join, you’ll need an invite code from one of our partners. Keep an eye on Margex partner channels for invite codes and exclusive competition announcements.
Free and Paid Competitions
Some competitions are completely free to enter. Others require a participation fee in USDT, which contributes to the prize pool. Each competition card clearly shows whether it’s free or paid before you join.

The All Competitions tab lists competitions that are open for submissions or opening soon.
To view competition details, select the competition card. You will be redirected to its Competition page.
This page shows the competition’s current details, including:
Participants — number of users registered for the competition
Competition type
Timeframe — duration of the Active stage
Submission start — opening date for the Application Submission stage
Submission end — closing date for the Application Submission stage
Current prize pool — prize pool size for the current competition tier
Tier — current tier based on the number of participants

How to Join a Competition
My Competitions
This section shows your active competitions and competition history.
My Active Competitions
This tab lists every competition you have joined. View basic results here, or select View Stats for the Competition page.
My Competitions History
Your Competition History lists all competitions you previously joined. Check your results or select View Stats for a detailed breakdown.
After a competition ends, claim your participation rewards from Competitions History:
Hall of Fame
The Hall of Fame is the global leaderboard for all competitions. It ranks leaders by trophies earned across competitions.
Winning a competition, regardless of type, awards the following trophies:
1st place receives a Gold trophy.
2nd place receives a Silver trophy.
3rd place receives a Bronze trophy.
