# Competitions

Margex is launching [Competitions](https://margex.com/app/competitions) — a new way for traders to test their market instincts against each other.

Competitions are available in both free and paid formats, with prize pools that scale dynamically based on the number of participants. Whether you’re a seasoned analyst or just want to test your gut feeling, Competitions give you a defined way to put your market view to the test — and get rewarded for being right.

The main webpage of the 'Competitions' page consist of 3 large modules All Competitions, My Competitions, and Hall of Fame. The following article describes the main webpage for the Competitions, how they work, how to join them and how to check your results on the global leaderboard.

## How Competitions Work <a href="#anchor-1" id="anchor-1"></a>

Every competition follows similar steps:

* **Application Submission** **Stage** — The competition is open for entries. Choose a competition, review the asset and conditions, and join. Each competition might be a subject to its own set of rules in terms of: price of entry (if the Competition is Free or Paid), ability to change your application, etc.
* **Active** **Stage** — Submissions are locked. The competition is live and the market decides the outcome. No changes can be made to your prediction.&#x20;

Once the competition ending date is due, the competition is considered 'Completed, the final results are calculated and the Winners receive their rewards. Each competition would have its own specifics on the result calculation.

### Types of Competitions <a href="#anchor-3" id="anchor-3"></a>

**Regular Competitions**

Five regular competitions launch automatically every Monday, each focused on a different cryptocurrency. Every regular competition runs for three weeks: one week for submissions, one week active, and one week for the next cycle. This means there’s always a competition you can join right now.

**Standard Competitions**

Standard competitions are created manually and can have custom durations, assets, entry fees, and prize structures. These may be one-off events or special promotions with unique conditions.

**Private Competitions**

Private competitions are exclusive events available only to invited participants. To join, you’ll need an invite code from one of our partners. Keep an eye on Margex partner channels for invite codes and exclusive competition announcements.

**Free and Paid Competitions**

Some competitions are completely free to enter. Others require a participation fee in USDT, which contributes to the prize pool. Each competition card clearly shows whether it’s free or paid before you join.

## Competition Page

On the 'All Competitions' tab of the Competitions webpage you will find all the currently available competitions that are either open for Submission or will soon be Opened.

In order to check a detailed information on the Competition, simply click on the Card of th Competition you want to epxlore and you'll be automatically redirected to a Competition Page.

On this page you will find a detailed description of the current state of the tournament, such as:

* **Participants** — number of currently registered users in the Competition
* **Competition Type**
* **Timeframe** — duration of the Active stage of the tournament
* **Start Submission** — date of opening of the Application Submission Stage
* **End Submission** — date of closing of the Application Submission Stage
* **Current** **Prize Pool** — the Size of the Prize Pool depending on the current Competition Tier
* **Tier** — current Tier depending on the number of participants of the Competition

At the bottom of the Competition Page you'll find a detailed set of the Competition Rules.

## How to Join a Competition

### Choosing a competition

Competitions differ by type and each type of competition will be a subject to their own set of rules. To switch between different Competitions you can use the tab shown on the screenshot below:

### Joining a Competition

In order to Join a competition simply click on the 'Join' button on the Competition card. You'll be automatically redirected to the Competition Page:

Certain competitions might only be accessible via Invitation code. In order to join such competition, choose the option to 'Enter Invite Code' at the top of the 'All Competition' page:

### Participation Conditions

On the Competition Page you can check the basic information regarding the competition. After you've acquainted yourself with this information, simply click on the 'Predict' button and the Application Submission form would appear:

Keep in mind, that in order to participate in a certain competition it might be required to fulfill a certain set of conditions. Participation is only allowed when **all the conditions** are met.

### Monitor the Progress

Now that your Application is submitted you can wait for the Competition to enter its Active stage and monitor your results either directly from the Competition Page or via 'My Active Competitions' tab:

Also, you are able to edit your application:

### Wait for the Results

Once the Competition is cocnluded and the results are verified, you can claim your reward on the Competition Page, by either proceeding to it directly or accessing it from 'My Competitions' tab

## My Competitions

Here is your personal space where you can see all your currently Active Competitions that you've sumbitted an application for and the Competition History

### My Active Competitions

On this tab, you'll find all the Competitions that you've joined. You can basic information on your results in the Competition directly from this tab or click the 'View Stats' button and be redirected to the Competition Page.

### My Competitions History

In your Competition History you can find all your previously participated competitions and check their results as well as see detailed competition results breakdown by clicking on the 'View Stats' button.

Once a Competition is completed, you can also claim your rewarsd for participating from the Competitions History:

## Hall of Fame

Hall of Fame represents a Global Leaderboard for all the competitions. Here you'll find global leaders by the number of trophies earned in various competitions.

Winning a competition, regardless of type, awards the following trophies:

* 1st place receives a Gold trophy in the Hall of Fame
* 2nd place receives a Silver trophy in the Hall of Fame
* 3rd place receives a Bronze trophy in the Hall of Fame
