The Trade page, ie. the Trading Terminal, is where all trading activity is performed by a trader. Here you will be able to monitor the market via Charts, place orders, manage active positions and view a detailed history of your trades:
The Trading terminal consists of the following sections:
Order Placement module (outlined in yellow)
Chart, Order Book and Last Trades (outlined in purple)
Orders and Positions management module (green)
Let’s review each separate module.
The order placement module located on the left-hand side of the trade interface is used to place orders and reflects your balance info:
Collateral information - reflects the chosen collateral and the available balance for the chosen collateral
Order types - Limit, Market, Stop Market
Order size USD - full size of your order (in USD) taking into account selected leverage
Margin slider - can be used to automatically calculate the % of your available balance to be used in a trade
Order Size - full size of your order in the selected collateral currency
Leverage - used to select the leverage for new orders
Buy/Sell - place a long (buy) order or a short (sell) order
Margin cost - the amount of personal funds which are required and reserved in order to open a position
To learn more about orders, order types and how to manage orders and positions, see our help center guides: Orders and Positions.
Located at the bottom part of the Trade terminal is the Orders and Positions management module:
Here traders can manage active orders and open positions. This module is highly customizable and allows traders to add/remove desired info columns, filter orders and positions by date as well as view orders and positions history.
The Chart module is on of the most crucial tools when trading as it provides traders with direct information about the current market movement, price trends of an asset and other valuable information.
At Margex, we offer a unique multi-chart feature. This feature allows traders to open and view multiple charts simultaneously, providing more tools to keep track of your favorite coins and never miss out on potential trading opportunities.
To choose your multi-chart layout, simply click on the layout options button in the top-right corner of the charting module and choose the amount of charts and their layout to be reflected on your Trade page.
Below the layout options, you can also choose from a range of additional settings to further customize your active multi-charts and make them even easier and more convenient to use:
Symbol - applies the same Symbol (Asset) to all charts on the page, if changed
Interval - applies the same candle time frame to all charts on the page, if changed
Crosshair - synchronizes your cursor movements between all chart on the page, when applied
Time - when applied, clicking anywhere on one of the charts, will take you to the same point in time on all other charts on the page
Date range - applies the same date range (i.e. 1d, 1m, 1y, etc.) to all charts on the page, if changed.
Margex charts are plotted based on the last price an asset was traded at.
We aggregate liquidity from a pool of liquidity providers (12 currently) and by arbitraging between them, we are able to provide the best possible price, which reflects the pricings across exchanges (liquidity providers) from which liquidity is aggregated.
When trading, we recommend following Margex charts if referring to an asset's price.
Order book and Last Trades module are crucial tools when trading as they provide traders with direct information about the current market depth, traders' intentions and volatility.
The Order Book reflects the current Buy (ask) and Sell (bid) Limit orders of market participants as well as details regarding market depth. The Order Book acts as an additional instrument that helps traders monitor market activity and provides valuable information for traders when reviewing the current market trends
Last Trades reflects the last performed trades on the market in real time. This provides additional valuable information for traders when making trading decisions
We utilize the charting engine provided by TradingView for our chart solution. It offers advanced charting tools and creates an environment where market enthusiasts can engage, analyze data, and prepare for trading activities involving BTCUSD and various other assets.
